About Gale

Gale Love is the owner of Mill Valley Speech & Language. After working for a private practice in San Francisco, Gale had the opportunity to open her own private practice around the corner from her home. Gale received her M.S. in Communicative Disorders from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from California State University, Long Beach. She received her Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed to practice in the state of California. 

Gale has worked with both adults and children in a variety of settings, ranging from in-home care to clinic-based treatment. She has provided assessment and treatment of children and adults with a variety of communication disorders such as apraxia, articulation and phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, stuttering and adults with neurodegenerative disorders and expressive language deficits. 

Gale's therapy focuses on working with families to help their children, by integrating techniques they learn in the clinic with activities they participate in every day at home. Gale uses a variety of techniques in the clinic, such as motor planning/sequencing, sign language, articulation and phonological therapy, and expressive and receptive language therapy activities. 

Gale and her husband have lived in Mill Valley for the past 24 years. They raised two sons in Mill Valley who are now off at college. Gale enjoys hiking, knitting, visiting her sons and enjoying an empty nest.
